We had a very frustrating experience with Tires choice in Lutz. We brought our 2017 Honda Accord in because it was losing power and having charging system issues. We specifically asked them to check the alternator, battery, and serpentine belt. They told us the alternator was fine and recommended replacing the battery and electrical sensors. We trusted their diagnosis and ended up paying ~$436 for the battery and another ~$860 for sensor-related repairs. After both of these visits, the issue was still not fixed. In fact, when we picked up the car after the second repair, the warning lights were still on and the car quickly lost power again. After bringing the car back a third time, the store manager identified the actual issue?the alternator. Once the alternator was replaced (~$1,300), the car worked perfectly. In total, we had to visit the shop three times to fix one issue and spent over $2,500, when the correct diagnosis from the start would have cost significantly less. We reached out to corporate multiple times to try to resolve this, but they denied any refund, stating that we had approved the repairs. While that?s true, we relied on their professional diagnosis?and the repairs we paid for did not fix the problem. The only positive in this experience was Xander, the store manager, who ultimately diagnosed and fixed the issue correctly. However, the overall experience was disappointing, costly, and could have been avoided with a more accurate initial diagnosis. UPDATE: After filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, I was contacted by Tires Choice corporate and issued a full refund of $868 for the electrical sensor repairs, which did not resolve the issue.
